Accessibility Tips

Sunflower Lanyards

Our first tip is preparation. Travel with your sunflower Lanyards and book Special Assistance if required.  Check out the airports facilities to see if they have a bookable sensory room as these are beggining to pop up more and more now. Get one for yourself aswell incase you have any trouble getting your child to wear it. The website does one that says "I support someone with..."

Making use of Accessibility Guides

For large attractions that could trigger dysregulation and meltdowns or, could be difficult to get around check accessibility guides online first for the attractions dedicated website. For Example, at Disneyland Paris you can apply for an Access card one month before which is easy to collect on arrival, this helps with queuing length and ease of access on and off rides, getting seated in restaurants and queuing in shops. It is always worth checking.

Applying for an Access Card

We've also noticed more places in Europe are beggining to recognise access cards (nimbus cards)  for proof of disability when booking carers tickets to attractions. These are inexpensive to obtain and can save you having to take lengthy, important paperwork with you or trawling through emails when providing proof. You can apply for a nimbus card here:
